JUSTINE OK
Justine Ok is a Korean-American singer, rapper, songwriter, music producer and business executive based in Los Angeles. Throughout her career in the music industry, Justine Ok has had her work published by Sony/ATV, Warner Chappell; albums/songs charted in Top 10 (Billboard); written songs that generated millions+ Youtube views; featured on radio, commercial brands, feature films and television; and has operated as an executive at a record label, music production house, music publishing company and sync agency.
On the creative end, her voice has been featured on high profile commercial brand campaigns such as Heineken's 'Refresh Your Music', award winning hair care brand, Fable & Mane, and featured in the end credits of live action film “American Girl: Corinne Tan.” As a songwriter, Ok's most well-known works include Good Boy by Baek Ji Young featuring Yong Jun Hyung, a K-pop dance song that charted six weeks in the top 10 on the Billboard K-Pop Charts; "It Will Be Ok" on #1 Album "Heaven / Cliff" by Jess Lee, Grand Winner of Taiwan's Idol style TV singing competition, One Million Star"; the theme song to film, "Bullets Over Petaling Street" and “Elevate” by Lindsey Compton on EA Sports video game “Super Mega Baseball 4” and soundtrack. Notably, her song "Champion" with Born I Music was featured in Sony Music's Sochi Winter Olympics official compilation. In addition to writing for other artists, she also releases music as TINAMINA. A regular sync darling, TINAMINA has garnered over 23 sync placements including spots on shows such as "America's Next Top Model"," Real World: The Challenge XXX", Black Ink Crew Chicago", and “Homebound 3.0” and on television networks such as MTV, VH1, BET, Viceland & New Zealand’s Three.
On the business end, Justine Ok’s industry experience is multifaceted and international. Having formerly served as Chief Operating Officer to a startup K-pop company which she helped build to international success, her industry expertise is diverse due to overseeing varying key interests of the company during her term, primarily, music publishing, but also, branding & marketing, music production, entertainment agency, A&R, artist development and tour management. Having been one of the key executives to orchestrate the company's expansive growth, not only was Ok instrumental in navigating and closing a significant investment deal with Warner Chappell and various regional subpublishing deals, she was also an integral part of the team that brought an artist partnership deal with Universal Music Group to fruition and commercial success.
